Duncan Colquhoun Award

Chair of LCC, Des Loughney was delighted to recently attend an assembly at Longstone Primary School where, on 28 June 2022, he presented P6 Lilly McCole with a £50 book token in recognition of her outstanding service to the community by regularly litter picking in the area.
The Award is funded by LCC; it is given to any pupil or group of pupils of the school who demonstrate distinctive service within the community. Duncan Colquhoun was a disabled local activist who died in 1976 (see separate item on Duncan Colquhoun under LOCAL HISTORY).
